Dr. Samimi is a board-eligible Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon committed to delivering exceptional surgical care in a welcoming, patient-focused environment. He practices the full scope of the specialty, with particular expertise in dental implant reconstruction, corrective jaw surgery, TMJ disorders, facial trauma, benign pathology, and facial aesthetics.

Education & Training

A Georgia native, Dr. Samimi earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Georgia and Master of Science in Molecular & Cellular Biology from Georgia State University. He went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston.

Following dental school, he completed surgical internships at Montefiore Medical Center in New York and the University of Cincinnati Medical Center before entering the University of Cincinnati’s oral and maxillofacial surgery training program. In his final year, he served as chief resident, leading surgical teams and coordinating complex cases.

His training spanned multiple major hospitals, including the VA Medical Center and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, where he gained extensive experience treating patients of all ages—from children to older adults. This comprehensive training included administering general anesthesia, reconstructing complex facial trauma and pathological defects, performing orthognathic surgery, managing TMJ disorders, placing dental implants, and providing facial aesthetic procedures.

Current Practice & Hospital Affiliations

Today, Dr. Samimi practices at South Florida Oral & Facial Surgery in Fort Lauderdale and maintains hospital privileges at Holy Cross Health, Broward Health Medical Center, and Broward Health North. Known for his approachable manner and meticulous attention to detail, he takes time to understand each patient’s goals, combining advanced surgical expertise with clear communication and genuine compassion.
