Surgical staff

Our surgical staff have the latest training in all the surgical procedures performed in the office. They understand and practice above and beyond sterile techniques. They are present to look after your safety while you are under our care.

All have been trained to assist with I.V. sedation and general anesthesia in an ambulatory setting. You can feel comfortable under our care.

Traci Benedetto Surgical Administrator Dental Implant Coordinator I have been part of the practice for nine years. I have a great deal of experience with oral surgery, implant dentistry and practice management. My role is to ensure that every patient is provided exceptional care in a safe, sterile and pleasant environment. I assist with oral, facial and cosmetic surgeries as well as with all levels of anesthesia. I look forward to meeting you and assisting with your surgical needs.

Chantel Sawisch Cosmetic Treatment Coordinator Certified Aesthetician I work hand in hand with Dr. Sawisch on our cosmetic surgery patients. Beginning with your first visit, I will assist you in achieving the outcome you desire. Using my knowledge and experience as an aesthetician, I can also ease the transition from your old self to the new, rejuvenated you. For more information, please refer to Medical Spa.

Danielle Benjamin, LPN Cosmetic Care Coordinator Surgical Nurse I graduated with a nursing degree from South Florida Community College. I assist with oral, facial and cosmetic surgeries as well as with all levels of anesthesia. My nursing experience will assist you during the cosmetic surgery pre-operative work-up and the post-operative recovery.

Hasan Yap Surgical Assistant  Implant Technician I am a graduate of dental school in my native country of Panama. I assist Dr. Sawisch and Dr. Schaumberg by taking impressions and assist in creating surgical guides for implant surgery. My goal is to provide exceptional care to our patients and to ensure your procedure goes smoothly. I look forward to meeting you and assisting with your surgical needs.

Shannon Johns Surgical Assistant Pathology Coordinator  I joined this excellent team in Febuary of 2007 and have been in the dental field for the last year and a half. I graduated from Sanford Brown Institute as a surgical technician in January of 2006. I assist in oral and facial cosmetic surgeries as well as with  all levels of anesthesia. I look forward to meeting you and providing you with the best clinical care I can.

Andrea Barerra Surgical Assistant I graduated from Sanford Brown Institutewith a certificate in surgical technology, and I am currently seeking my nursing degree from Broward College. I assist both Dr. Sawisch and Dr. Schaumberg in oral and facial cosmetic surgeries, as well as with all levels of anesthesia. I have extensive experience in quality patient care and am highly qualified to take care of all your medical needs. I am very fortunate to be part of such an exceptional team.
