Dr. Jennifer Schaumberg

Dr. Jennifer SchaumbergDr. Jennifer Schaumberg is a board certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon.  Dr. Schaumberg was born and raised in West Bloomfield , Michigan .  She pursued her undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan and there continued into  University of Michigan dental school  where she received the student Implant Excellence Award.  She completed both her internship and residency training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami , Florida , which is known internationally as a center for research and education specifically in the fields of craniofacial trauma, tumor and reconstructive surgery.  There Dr. Schaumberg received the Outstanding Surgical Skills Award.  In addition to her education in dentoalveolar, orthognathic surgery and dental implants, Dr. Schaumberg brings to our practice, advanced training in facial cosmetic, tumor, reconstructive, pre-prosthetic surgery and craniofacial trauma.  She holds privileges to operate and covers emergency call at  Holy Cross Hospital  in Fort Lauderdale , Florida .

Dr. Schaumberg is board certified, a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. She is actively involved in the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity, The American Dental Association, Florida Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Academy of Implant Dentistry and is board certified in Anesthesia.  She currently serves as trustee of the Florida Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.

 

Dr. Schaumberg teaches the Advanced Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery course at Broward County Dental Research Clinic. She lectures extensively in the areas of LASERS, CAT scans, dentoalveolar surgery, implants, bone grafting, cosmetic surgery, pathology and reconstruction.  Dr. Schaumberg is also the president of the Women’s Dental Study Group.  She is delighted to bring her love of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and her love of teaching together to the community.  She believes that a reassuring touch, a kind word and a caring atmosphere is essential for ideal patient care. Dr. Schaumberg’s gentle manner is especially comforting to anxious patients and children.
