Board Certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon Dr. Todd Sawisch

Todd Sawisch, D.D.S., earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Detroit Mercy, School of Dentistry. He completed a surgical residency program in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at University of Miami School of Medicine’s prestigious Jackson Memorial Hospital.

During his residency, Dr. Sawisch spent four vigorous years with world-renowned surgeons in the specialty of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery: Dr. Robert Marx, Dr. Stuart Kline, and Dr. Eric Carlson. The training Dr. Sawisch received focused on head and neck cancer, tumor surgery, and reconstruction of severe facial deformities secondary to disease and facial trauma. Dr. Sawisch has extensive training in implant dentistry using platelet-rich plasma (PRP) with advanced bone grafting procedures to aid in dental implant reconstruction. Dr. Sawisch was awarded the “Outstanding Surgical Skills Award” by the surgical faculty upon graduation.

Jennifer Schaumberg, D.D.S., pursued her undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan and there continued into dental school. She completed both her internship and residency training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida. In addition to her education in dentoalveolar, orthognathic surgery and dental implants, Dr. Schaumberg brings to our practice, advanced training in facial cosmetic, tumor, reconstructive, pre-prosthetic surgery and craniofacial trauma.

Dr. Schaumberg is actively involved in the American Associaiton of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternitry, The American Dental Association, Florida Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Academy of Implant Dentistry and is board eligible. She is an active member of Hadassah, Magen David Adom, Federation and AIPAC.

Facial Cosmetic Surgery

The Four Dimensional Facelift

Dr. Sawisch uses one of the newest lasers, the ultra-pulse carbon dioxide laser from DEKA Lasers, to treat sun-damaged skin, facial wrinkles and scars in a procedure called laser skin resurfacing. The laser is used to reduce tiny wrinkles, acne scars and other minor skin imperfections, especially around the mouth and eyes. It can improve sun-damaged and acne scarred skin problems that often cause concern to both men and women.
